|SUBJECT:||Fringe Benefit Rates for July 1, 2004 through June 30, 2005|
The following fringe benefit rates will become effective July 1,
for the Doctoral Cluster Institutions (UW-Madison and UW-Milwaukee) and
UW-Extension, and will be used when charging the employer’s
to fringe benefits on all new and on-going extramural projects.
|Regular Faculty and Academic Staff||33.50%|
|Research Associates and Grad Interns||21.50%|
|Research Assistants, Project Assistants, Teaching Assistants, Pre-Doc Fellows and/or Trainees||25.00%|
|Post-Doc Fellows and/or Trainees||10.00%|
|Limited Term Employees (LTE's)||19.00%|
|Ad Hoc Program Specialists, Undergraduate Assistants and Undergraduate Interns||6.00%|
|Student Hourly Employees||2.50%|
Please note that the rate for Research, Project, and Teaching Assistants, and Pre-Doctoral Fellows and/or Trainees continues to change dramatically. This continued rate increase is necessary due to a significant deficit in the recovery of health insurance costs for these individuals.Other rates experienced a modest change primarily due to increasing health insurance costs.
