The Standard Research Agreement was developed by the U.W. Madison for industry sponsored research. Use of this unaltered agreement eliminates the need for negotiation between the U.W. Madison and the Sponsor. The U.W. will consider other forms of an agreement, but these will require further review and negotiation, which could delay the start of the research activity. UW-Madison signature authority resides in the office of Research and Sponsored Programs.

The WWW on-line form is NOT submitted or routed electronically. The form is used to generate a report based upon the responses in the fields, which is printed out and routed (using the traditional method) for review and signatures.
