In August, we announced the initiation of a pilot project for NSF and DHHS proposal processing and award administration breaking down the barrier between pre- and post-award administration and establishment of the Streamline Team for Research Administration of NSF and DHHS (STRAND) workgroup.
We continue to look for new ways of streamlining our grants administration processes, and we have recently made the following management changes effective immediately:
Robert H. Perkl will now manage STRAND and should be listed as the institutional official signing-off on NSF and DHHS proposals.
Charles L. Hoffman will now manage the General Federal Post-award section that was formerly called Federal Miscellaneous.
Sarah Gatz has joined STRAND, retaining her previous responsibilities for non-direct DHHS accounting.Please be reminded that RSP has a backup process for all sign-offs. It is not necessary for faculty and/or staff to call RSP to check if someone will be there to sign-off on proposals. During normal business hours, there will always be someone available to sign proposals.
